What exactly does an ISO 27001 baseline assessment involve?

It is an in-depth scan of your current information security. A consultant visits you for one day to assess your processes, IT setup, and physical security against the ISO 27001 standard. The Reality Check is a short online conversation (30-45 min) to assess whether you need to certify at all. The baseline assessment is the paid starting point of the process: an extensive on-site review after which you receive a full implementation plan and budget.

What does the initial assessment cost?

We work with a fixed price of €1,250 (excl. VAT). This includes the consultant on site, the elaboration of the report, and the action plan. No follow-up invoices.

Will I receive a certificate after the initial assessment?

No, the baseline assessment is the starting line, not the finish. The goal is to determine exactly how much work is still needed to become certified. With the report in hand, we can then guide you flawlessly to the certificate.

Do I need to have documentation ready in advance?

No. We specifically want to see how you 'naturally' work. If you write processes down especially for us, we get a distorted picture. We look at what is already there in practice (which is often more than you think).
